300 Candid, Behind-the-Scenes, at Work and Home

Click for a larger image

This all photo CD from Damon Lanza Productions is a fine collection of assorted pictures from Lanza’s heyday with many of them focusing on behind the scenes and candid moments. It is indeed a wonderful opportunity to get to know the man behind that glorious voice.

Mario is seen with his lovely wife Betty and their four young children. Some of the shots come from family visits to the studio and were taken on or around the studio lot. Others come from vacations or when they were touring locations where Lanza’s concerts would be held.

These photos capture for posterity treasured moments of happy times.

Cost: $20.00 + $3.00 Shipping USA ($5.00 International).

The listener is given insight into the Lanza persona by way of candid conversations on a variety of topics ranging from the early days of his career to discussions about his films and his suppressed desire to sing on the stages of the world's great opera houses. Hear Mario interviewed with his first and best co-star, Kathryn Grayson, and his touching first meeting with the terminally ill child, Raphaela Fasano. We've included the Berlin interview with Zsa Zsa Gabor, the Ed Sullivan "Tribute" show following Mario's untimely passing, and many other rare recordings.

Be My Love - A Celebration of Mario Lanza - Limited Copies - Out of Print
A Book by Damon Lanza and Bob Dolfi (Autographed)

Click for a larger image

This book dares to be different than any other book ever written about Mario Lanza. It deals with the innuendoes and misconceptions that have plagued Mario's life. It finally sets the record straight. This book, unlike the "other's" to-date, has thoroughly researched Mario's personal life and has documented proof of these findings.

"Be My Love" puts an end to the Mafia conspiracy theory and the insinuations about doctors and nurses disappearing from Mario's hospital. There are no innuendoes of any kind, just the plain truth that these stories never happened.

We asked Ms. Kathryn Grayson, Mr. Al Martino, Ms. Elaine Malbin and Mr. Enrico DiGiuseppe and many others who knew Mario to write something for our book. "Be My Love" includes many stories, newspaper accounts and rare photos which no other book can offer.

We know you will enjoy this different and interesting book because not only was it written with love and respect for Mario Lanza, but it is truthful and well documented.

Cost: $40.00 + $5.00 Shipping USA ($9.00 International).

With A Song in My Heart: Mario Lanza Pictorial Lyric Book
50 of His favorite Songs by the Lanza Legend Team

Click for a larger image

At first glance you may have thought that "With A Song In My Heart" was just another lyric book. Not so! The source of this Mario Lanza lyric book comes directly from his personal archives, as do the pictures we have provided with each song page. We have included translations for those songs Mario sang in a language other than English. We have also included Lanza Legend Trivia to give you some insight into the song, the picture and/or what was going on in Mario's life at the time. All these factors make Mario's Lyric Book unique.

This project is also special because profits from the sales will help support the Mario Lanza Institute scholarships awarded each year at the Mario Lanza Ball in Philadelphia to aspiring young singers. This was Mario's dream and we are proud to be part of it.

Cost: $20.00 + $5.00 Shipping USA ($8.00 International)

This booklet is my tribute to Mario's champion, his mother Maria, my mentor. I wanted to share my thoughts, experiences and some personal photos with the fans who love Mario.

Children of Hollywood
A Book by Michelle Vogel

Children of Hollywood

Some time in 2004, Michelle Vogel approached Damon Lanza to ask him if he would be interested in being a part of her book project called "Children of Hollywood." Damon agreed ! Now the book is almost finished and it's a beauty. In fact, Damon was the very first one to be asked to participate and the first one to submit his story. Damon gave a heartwarming remembrance of his childhood days through to adulthood. Being the only living son of Mario Lanza and the best ambassador to Mario's legacy, Damon brings the reader through the fun times in Italy and the sometimes turbulent years that followed.

This book is available at www.amazon.com.

Magic Moments with Mario Lanza
A Book by Elsie Sword and Joan Marsden

Magic Moments

Two young Mario Lanza fans from England reminisce about their personal experiences meeting the great tenor. Attending his concerts and visiting with him personally in London and Rome, they discuss his warm personality, wonderful sense of humour and love of family and fans. Upon arriving at the Rome train station he greeted them with: "My girls from England...mamma mia." Their stories about Mario "the man" and his interaction with them results in very enjoyable reading.

The Later Years: 1955-1959

This compilation includes unreleased outtakes from Mario Lanza's last three films and several selections from two of his last albums made in 1959. Includes the "Lanza only" portion of the album "Lanza on Broadway," his most criticized release for the later inclusion of it's chorus tracks. Now you can compare these "raw" recordings with the released version.

Hollywood Bowl
Music From the Classic Venue: 1947-1949

On this CD compilation we have selections from all three of Mario's Hollywood Bowl performances. Fortunately, all of the concerts were either broadcast live or recorded for later broadcast so that the surviving acetates from which this collection was made could preserve these historical treasures. Mario was in magnificent voice, and MGM head Louis B. Mayer signed him to a contract the day after hearing his Bowl performance. It was a turning point in Lanza's career, moving him away from what many considered his rightful place in the opera world.

Cost: $17.00 + $3.00 Shipping USA ($5.00 International).

Mario Frangoulis Sings Mario Lanza - Passione
By tenor Mario Frangoulis

Passione is a lovely tribute cd to Mario Lanza by tenor Mario Frangoulis. His first tribute to Mario Lanza was a sold-out concert in Greece, September 2006. You'll recognize 6 songs from Lanza's Mario! album, such as Comme Facette Mammeta, Fenesta che lucive and Passione to name a few, plus favorites such as Core 'ngrato and Non ti scordar di me. The songs run the emotional gamut.
Mario Frangoulis' love of Mario Lanza is evident with each song he sings and the insert is a treat filled with beautiful words, pictures and song lyrics.
